Remember the scene from Mary Poppins when the characters jump into the paintings, and they become part of the art?

In this workshop with actor/director/educator, Rebecca Foster, artworks come to life as participants performatively explore places, people, colours and shapes in our exhibitions, creating “postcards”, monologues and duologues and work with others in the class to create scenes and experiences to deepen their appreciation of art practices and artists, choosing one artwork as inspiration for a voiced or unvoiced performance. There will also be options to create and incorporate simple masks, props and costumes.
