Join us for a colourful, nature-inspired art adventure! Paper fans have been part of Chinese history for more than 3,000 years, and now it’s your turn to create one of your own.
We’ll begin by exploring the beautiful blooms and symbolic flowers featured in Dr Christian Thompson’s House of Gold exhibition, followed by a visit to Jo Davenport’s From My Window, an exhibition bursting with the colours and feelings of spring. These artworks will spark our imaginations as we discover how artists use nature to tell stories.
Then, just in time for the summer heat, children will decorate their very own paper fan using paint, prints, real flowers, and leaves. This hands-on workshop blends creativity, culture, and the beauty of the natural world—perfect for curious young artists.
