Curandum in the E3 art space, 2008

Following on from recent successes as part of the national youth arts festival Next Wave 2008, Curandum returns to Wagga Wagga for local audiences. Curandum is a group exhibition showing at the Wagga Wagga Arts Gallery's E3 art space, 4 - 17 August. Curated by Wagga-based Raymond Wholohan with assistance from Drew Halyday, the exhibition incorporates works across a range of arts disciplines.

Showing works by Melissa Delaney, Drew Halyday, Jamie Holcombe, Simon Matthews, Zoe Steers, and Joel Thogersen, Curandum is an investigation based on ideas and assumptions of interplay between the 'artist' and the 'art experts'. Four of these seven individuals were participants in the 2006 Next Wave Festival and have since formed an artists' collective called 80% Water . All artists involved in Curandum are originally from Wagga Wagga, where many of the works have been originally developed.
