Other Documents is a survey of photographic projects undertaken by second-year students studying in the Bachelor of Creative Arts and Design (Photography) at Charles Sturt University. This broad collection is linked by the central theme of ‘photography as other document’, situated within the post-photographic moment and photography’s ongoing crisis of meaning. Students have responded by interrogating the role photography plays in layering public and private history; its relationship to truth, memory and identity; and its role in establishing and communicating ideas of place.
