Post-war migration of glass professionals to Australia

This exhibition investigates the rich migration stories of professional glass workers who migrated to Australia during the pre- and post-war periods. Featuring works by artists in the National Art Glass Collection and loans from the Powerhouse Museum, this exhibition highlights the wealth of skill and culture which these skilled migrants brought with them. This has played an integral part in the development of studio art glass practice in this country.

Exhibiting artists include Jane Bruce (USA), Richard Clements (TAS), Gerhard Emmerichs (VIC), Kevin Gordon (WA), Sam Herman (UK), Helmut Hiebl (ACT), Stan Melis (QLD), Klaus Moje (NSW), Richard Morrell (VIC), Ivan Polak (NSW), Stephen Procter (ACT), Julio Santos (NSW), Peter Tysoe (UK) Emma Varga (NSW) and Nick Wirdnam (VIC).
