Leaving Home on display in the Links Gallery, 2008

The genesis of this exhibition hinges on a specific hypothetical question. The artist, Hayley Hillis, approached people in the street and asked them, 'what would you take if you had to leave home forever but were given enough time to pack a portable box?' The fascinating results form the basis of Leaving Home, which features over fifty black and white portraits with accompanying texts and over 150 objects.
