Places of Wagga Wagga Photography Workshop
A youth photography workshop, Places of Wagga Wagga, was conducted at the Gallery on Saturday 29 November, 10:00am - 12 noon. This two hour workshop for 10-15 year olds introduced students to digital photography and the basics of how to use a camera and compose pictures. Places of Wagga Wagga was held in association with the Leica/CCP Documentary Photography Award exhibition, and in conjunction with Faces of Wagga Wagga - another youth photography workshop conducted by the Museum of the Riverina.
The subject matter for the workshop was buildings of Wagga Wagga. Students were required to supply their own camera, downloading cord, memory cards and batteries. At least one photograph from each participant from both workshops was selected and exhibited in the My Wagga Wagga exhibition at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery during December 2008 and January 2009.
