Wagga Wagga Art Gallery's festival of textiles continues with Across the Range, a stunning exhibition of work by members of the Wagga Wagga Group of the Embroiderers' Guild of New South Wales. An incredible diversity of styles and skills is on show, including bush dyed fabrics, lace, hand dyed and stitched works, art quilts, rainbow tiles, and patchwork. All exhibits have been stitched by local members of the Embroiderers' Guild, and Across the Range truly reflects the outstanding variety and creativity on offer here in Wagga Wagga.

As well as work by established members of the Guild, Across the Range also features a number of pieces by emerging artists, members of the Young Textile Fibre Group. An initiative of the Embroiderers' Guild of New South Wales, the Young Textile Fibre Group provides a forum for members aged seven to sixteen as they learn how to deisgn and stitch their own creations.

In conjunction with the exhibition, Wagga Wagga will be hosting the Embroiderers' Guild of New South Wales' Convenors' Meeting, on Saturday and Sunday, 20-21 March, and the Young Textile Fibre Group Leaders' Meeting. This is the first time that these prestigious conferences have been held outside of Sydney, and will attract embroidery and textile enthusiasts from across the state.
