Returning once again, students from the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) and Masters of Fine Arts (Photomedia) degrees at Charles Sturt University's Wagga Wagga campus present their graduate exhibition, f4, in the Links Gallery. Despite the imposing size and skill of these images, f4 is often disarmingly unpretentious, and is as much a celebration of humanity as it is a showcase of each participant's talents.
The exhibition reveals a wide variety of photographic styles and techniques, with a diversity that forecasts the range of practices to which these students aspire, as they begin the next stage of their careers. The success of these works reflects the culmination of intense study by these students within the School of Communication & Creative Industries at Charles Sturt University. At the same time each of these committed and talented practitioners has brought their own identity to their work. This is a consequence of geographical location equally balanced with a national perspective, and a determined eye on the world stage.
Artists participating in f4 from the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) degree include: Amanda Bishop, Sarah Boyle, Tilly Clifford, Alison Davis, Jess Geppert, Sarah-Jane Guthrie, Holly-Ann Haylen, Taylor Jurd, Peita Keir, Valerie Neculman, Sara Outerio, Angus Scanes, Amy Sinclair, Kayla Smith, Keelan Witton, and Melissa Wood. This will be the fourth group of students to graduate from the Bachelor of Arts (Photography) course at the Wagga Wagga campus. Also participating in this exhibition are three artists from the Masters of Fine Arts (Photomedia) degree, Sarah Mifsud, Matthew Regan, and Erwin Strobel: the third cohort of graduates from this degree course.
