Join Nicola Dickson to learn the art of botanical drawing. Through close observation of local plant specimens you will learn how to draw and develop colour palettes that capture beauty of nature. This practice of close observation and drawing - a skill in its own right - also encourages a deep appreciation and wonder for the natural world. As well as drawing skills, the workshop will equip students with an understanding of how to practice field work, and the many possibilities for how to apply botanical drawings in art and design.
