Writers and artists; don’t miss this opportunity to expand your creativity and writing skills by participating in an Ekphrasis workshop. Deepen your engagement with art and the written word through ekphrasis poetry, poetry inspired by artworks. This workshop will explore the Gallery’s Winter suite including Juanita McLauchlan’s gii mara-bula / Heart Hand-also, Nathalie Hartog-Gautier’s River in my mind, in my work and Nicola Dickson’s Only a Remnant.

This event is presented in partnership with Booranga Writers Centre and lead by David Gilbey. David is president of Booranga Writers' Centre and editor of fourW. His second collection of poetry Pachinko Sunset was published in 2016.For the last decade he has conducted poetry editing workshops at the annual Japan Writers Conference, and for more than forty years he lectured in English at Charles Sturt University
