Floortalk with Grace Cochrane: Overview Down-under - Australian Studio Glass

Grace Cochrane, curator, writer and historian of contemporary crafts and design will give a summary of the beginnings of art glass in Australia from stained glass to fused and blown glass. She will also recap the history of Ausglass and its ongoing impact on the Australian Studio Glass Scene.

Grace Cochrane is an independent curator and writer, until late 2005 Grace Cochrane AM was the senior curator of Australian decorative arts and design at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. Author of The Crafts Movement in Australia: a History (NSW University Press, 1992), and a number of other books and catalogues.
