fourW thirty-three: New Writing Book Launch - Booranga Writers Centre

Where: Wagga Wagga Art Gallery

Celebrate the launch of fourW thirty-three, an annual anthology of new poetry and prose from Australian and international writers.
…there is splendid richness and variety, subtlety and word-wizardry in the anthology…we have work by young and ‘mature’ writers; writers from CALD backgrounds; writers inscribing their indigenous affiliations; writers who’ve had work in previous fourWs as well as ‘newbies’.
fourW thirty-three will be launched by Dr Joe McGirr, MP.
Member for Wagga Wagga Dr Joe McGirr has worked in regional NSW for more than 30 years, in emergency medicine, health and hospital management, and university administration before entering politics. Dr Joe was elected the Member for Wagga Wagga in September 2018. He was re-elected into the 57th Parliament of NSW in March 2019. Joe is a well-known reader of books, player of chess and supporter of arts and education around the region.
The winners of the 2022 Booranga Literary Prizes for both poetry and prose will be announced.
The authors in attendance on the day will read their work from this year's publication.
Supported by: Booranga Writers Centre, Create NSW, Wagga Wagga City Council, Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and Charles Sturt University.
