Wiradjuri Emerging Artists is a new initiative by the Gallery taking place each Autumn across 2021 - 2023. Following on from a program that was trialed in 2021 with Lorraine Connelly Northey.

Weaving Workshop with Debbie Wood
When: 7, 8 October and 4, 5 November, 10am - 2pm
Cost: $10 per session. Light lunch will be provided

Join Kamilaroi creative Debbie Wood as she inspires you to weave and construct 3D objects using a variety of materials such as raffia, feathers, string, natural seeds and grasses.
Debbie Wood incorporates her Kamilaroi heritage and cultural background into her work, giving it a contemporary interpretation. She predominantly uses hand dyed raffia, emu feathers, local natural grasses and pine needles. She is strongly influenced by what she sees in her natural environment.
All workshops hosted by Wiradjuri elder Aunty Cheryl Penrith.
Participants can attend one or all four weekend sessions
