A conversation with artist Mary Coughlan

Morning tea and opening remarks at 10:30am / Conversation at 11am - 12pm

Join artist Mary Coughlan and Dr Lee-Anne Hall, for an intimate conversation about the exhibition, Covered in Roses/Covered in Ashes, a survey of Coughlan's prolific body of textile work.

This conversation will focus on the artist's life-long work with textile arts and embroidery, and her drive to create art as a means to express her rage and process her personal feelings as a survivor sexual abuse and assault. Coughlan's exceptionally detailed work also acknowledges the stories of the many women affected by violence that she encountered in her long career as a counsellor.
