The RAD x Earth Canvas Residency brings together artists and renewable farmers. Northern Rivers artist Lyndall Phelps will undertake a two-week residency on a renewable farm near Wagga followed by a two-week studio residency at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery.

The gathering of large amounts of information, images and objects through intensive research and collaboration is a core methodology within Lyndall Phelps’ art practice. She is drawn to narratives that convey fragility and vulnerability, or alternatively healing and protection. The natural world, particularly ornithology, botany, agriculture, and horticulture, are recurring themes. Phelps’ work combines a range of media which are often combined in installations that explore and celebrate certain contexts or specific sites.
